This is an example of starting to write a song about someone and somewhere along the way realizing you're also writing about yourself, and maybe in not such a flattering way. Suffice it to say that a lot of us have been in this situation at various times in our lives, and I have been there more than I'm happy with. I find it increasingly strange that as we get older we still romanticize the idea of getting fucked up despite what it is doing to us and those around us. -Ken
